Learn to Swim

The Learn to Swim program consists of a one hour lesson once per week.  This program is offered in 3 sessions -- Fall, Winter, Spring.  The Learn to Swim program will teach swimmers to be comfortable in the water, breath control, floats, glides, kick and arm pulls, and improve continuous swim distances.  No previous swimming experience is required. For the 2017-18 season the program will offered in two locations

Location:  Weston Area Pool (100 Pine Street)
NOTE:  Weston Pool is closed for the urgent repairs and is not available for the Winter or Spring Session -- classes have been moved to the York Pool see notes in RED below
Classes:  ​Not Available for Winter/Spring Session  Thursday or Friday --  6:00-7:00 pm    or    7:00-8:00 pm

Location:  York Area Pool (2694 Eglinton Ave W)
Classes:  Thursday --  5:00-6:00 pm    or    6:00-7:00 pm
Classes:   Friday --  6:00-7:00 pm    or    7:00-8:00 pm
Classes:  Saturday --  8:30-9:30 am  or 9:30-10:30 am  or  10:30-11:30 am ​or 11:30-12:30 pm

Each Session is approximately 10 weeks long.  Start and end dates for the 2017-18 season are below:

If a swimmer can already swim two lengths of a 25 yard/meter pool, we recommend the Introduction to Competitive Program.
