Learn to Swim

The Learn to Swim program consists of a one hour lesson once per week.  This program is offered in 3 sessions -- Fall, Winter, Spring.  The Learn to Swim program will teach swimmers to be comfortable in the water, breath control, floats, glides, kick and arm pulls, and improve continuous swim distances.  No previous swimming experience is required. For the 2018-19 season the program will offered in two locations

Location:  Weston Area Pool (100 Pine Street)

Classes:  Fall/Spring - Monday -- 6:00-7:00 pm   or   7:00-8:00 pm

                 Winter - Saturday - 10:00-11:00 am  or 11:00 am-12:00 noon

Note - Weston Pool was closed for maintenance/repairs for the Winter Session.  The 'Weston' Learn to Swim programs was at York (Centennial Rec Centre) on Saturday Mornings 10-11:00 am and 11-12:00)

Each Session is approximately 10 weeks long.  Start and end dates for the 2018-19 season are below:

If a swimmer can already swim two lengths of a 25 yard/meter pool, we recommend the Introduction to Competitive Program.
