Intro to Competitive Swimming
Information below is for 2019-20 Season -- with limited pool permits available for 2020-21 Season - significant changes are being made -- We are still hoping to run some very limited Intro to Competitive Programs for Fall 2020 but will likely only accommodate some returning participants.
The Introduction to Competitive Program is for those swimmers being introduced to competitive swimming. Swimmers should be able to swim two lengths of a 25 yard/meter pool without stopping. All four competitive strokes (Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Butterfly) will be taught as swimmers are ready, as well as technical elements of racing (starts and turns). Each practise includes a dry land training portion to develop fitness, core strength, rhythm, and flexibility.
Each session is approximately 10 weeks long.
