This non-competitive Fitness Program is for those swimmers wanting to develop their swimming skills - whether that be learning new strokes, perfecting strokes, or building endurance. Ideal for swimmers wanting to improve technique/endurance for Lifeguarding/Instructing, or for those that want to improve swimming skills for Triathlons, or just want to maintain or improve their fitness through swimming. Swimmers should be able to swim two lengths of a 25 yard/meter pool without stopping and be at least 12 years old (adults are welcome). All four competitive strokes (Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Butterfly) will be taught as swimmers are ready, as well as technical elements of racing (starts and turns). Each practise includes a dry land training portion to develop fitness, core strength, rhythm, and flexibility.
Each session is approximately 10 weeks long.
